Gilbert wanted to incorporate the styles of everyone walking in Jill Stuart’s “super-cool” collection for this posh style. “Some are models, some are signers, actors, we have bloggers. They’re all different characters in the show, which is a party,” Gilbert said. “So we want them to be a bit romantic-feminine, but we also want them to be a bit rock n’ roll.” So, what does it take to create this “cool girl” tousled texture look? Check out the hand-crafted steps by Gilbert below to find out:

Creating The Tousled Texture Look from Jill Stuart F/W 2018

Step 1: Start by washing hair with TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner & Shampoo to give your hair extra body. Step 2: Work TRESemmé TRES Two Extra Hold Mousse through semi-dry hair and blow dry, starting at the roots and working through to the ends. Step 3: Curl the hair in 2-inch sections with a curling iron. Once curled, brush out the curls. Spray TRESemmé Volumizing Dry Shampoo to sop up any grease at the roots, then backcomb hair with a brush to create extra volume and texture. Step 4: Hold the look with TRESemmé Compressed Micro-Mist Hair Spray Hold Level 3: Boost to keep the volume without stiffening hair. Turn head upside down to spray to make sure you get extra lift. Step 5: Complete the look with your favorite accessory like a bow or a hair clip. Want some more NYFW-inspired looks? Then check out this modern twist on film noir hairstyles from Helmut Lang.
