1. Top Knot

Anyone with hair that’s medium length or longer can create and wear a sleek top knot. The quickest way to get fall hair without much effort is to flip your head over and gather everything on the very top of your head. If you have especially thick hair, secure your hair in a pony tail on your crown before coiling it around and making a bun. Secure your hair with bobby pins (or a stretchy hair elastic) and keep any flyaways at bay by locking in your style with a firm-hold hairspray, such as TRESemmé TRES Two Extra Hold Hairspray.

2. Braided Pony

Looking for fall hairstyles for long hair? Then, this braided ponytail is sure to be your go-to if you’re looking for something relatively easy, super cute and keeps your hair out of your face. If you have a wavy or curly texture, start off with wet hair and apply TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Touchable Bounce Mousse (straight hair can start with second-day curls). Take a two-inch section from the bottom of your hair and do a simple three-strand braid. Loosen up or pancake the braid with your fingers to make it look as big as possible. Wrap the braid around your hairline like a headband and secure with the rest of your hair in a low ponytail at the nape of your neck.

3. Bold Headband

For a fall-inspired look that works on every hair type and length, pop on a big headband. After prepping hair with some leave-in conditioner for shine and manageability, rough-dry your hair with a blowdryer for a nice, rumpled texture. Then, choose your accessory: You can go for something with a little bling to add some extra shine to your look, or try a turban-style fabric headband that lies flatter and gives that extra boho touch. With a wide fabric headband, you can also easily cover your ears if the fall weather gets a little too nippy. One-two punch!

4. Sleek Pigtails

Pigtails have made a huge comeback in the last year. The simplicity of the look, together with that quirky-cool center part, makes them chic and more importantly, easy to achieve. This style looks the most dramatic with long, straightened hair, but will work on hair even as short as bob length. To get a sleek look, start with damp hair and apply some leave-in conditioner Next, rough-dry your hair with a blowdryer and straighten hair in sections with a hot iron. Apply some gel, like the TRESemmé Tres Two Mega Firm Control Gel, to your hair to smooth down any frizz or wayward strands. It will also ensure that your hair stays in place while also looking shiny! Then, create your center part with a fine-toothed comb, and tie hair into pigtails at the nape of your neck. For a cool, grownup touch, wrap a small section of hair around your ponytail holder and secure with a bobby pin.

5. Half -Beehive

If you have thinner hair, or just like a retro look, try a baby beehive. Start by taking a small section of hair at the crown of your head and tease it, a.k.a. backcombing from ends to roots, for lots of volume. Smooth the front sections of your hair over the teased section and secure with bobby pins. This particular style can be prone to deflating during the day, so make sure to use a strong hairspray to lock in your style. We like the volume we get from Bed Head by TIGI Hard Head Hairspray, which doesn’t leave our locks crunchy. Need some fall haircuts inspiration? Check out our fabulous hair color guide for fall.
